We are people who love stories! We are excited to be involved with Edmonton Story Slam Society and to bring live storytelling to Edmonton.
Why We Volunteer
Alison has been involved with Story Slam since her sister, Susan Hagan, started the event in 2006. She truly believes her stories are funny and will insist on that to anyone who will listen. A professional fundraiser, Alison works hard to raise money for charities.
When she is not daydreaming, Bri Drury can be found volunteering in her community. She recently joined Junior Achievement as the Program Manager. Bri is constantly reimagining her life and making a huge impact on the world.
Shariq Wani is a local board game enthusiast, regular slam host and the FMA martial artist. He occasionally takes the stage to tell stores about the awkward intersections of his personal identities.
Lover of cephalopods and Roman history, Kris Berezanski spends his days serving the public and his nights watching Twin Peaks. Lifelong Edmontonian and a proud owner of a Mammoth Pass from the Royal Alberta Museum, Kris will someday tell a story at Story Slam.
Board Member and Founder
Susan Hagan lives deep in the forest with her family and retired movie and rodeo horses, while working on a novel and freelance writing. She is a founding member of the Edmonton Story Slam Society.
